Sena SMH10 Helmet Clamp Kit Review

Sena got it right with this helmet clamp kit. It is so nice to finally be able to use either my own ear buds OR the wafer speakers that are already mounted in my helmet. Phone calls and music are much clearer on my end thanks to using ear buds for longer trips. Being able to use noise canceling earbuds also blocks out harmful wind noise as well as the Termignoni carbon exhaust without the db killers on my Ducati. For shorter trips, the wafer speakers work just fine. The only downside to using earbuds is the excess cord, however it tucks nicely under a riding jacket. If you have the SMH10, this kit will change your riding experience! The volume on this kit is more than enough and plenty loud which is a huge improvement over the original clamp. I have come nowhere close to the volume limit after using it for about 1 month now.

Everyone's experience with car parts is different. My particular experience with this part so far has been great... My old cat from 2003 Jeep weighed a good 20lbs more then this which is great for the average on your back installer and was easy to clamp on for testing before weld.. It's stainless so I know it will outlast the car & so far about 2-weeks & 2500 miles no codes or CEL light.. Being smaller is great that I won't ding or split it on a speed bump.. I noticed an increase in gas mileage approximately 1.3mpg BUT my old cat was trash so I'm not sure if it was a gain or if I regained lost mpg from a failing unit. Nice and quiet and it looks good in the sense that come inspection time I doubt I will be asked for documentation. My old cat was scrapped for $35 so all in all I couldn't be happier.

For less than the individual parts would cost you get a new bearing, spring and strut. Just throw away the old junk and move on. This cut at least an hour out of the job too.
