This was my second attempt at getting the correct trunk lift for my 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertable, and these fit perfectly. The other ones, which were guaranteed to fit my car, were not even close. The newer convertibles have a much heavier trunk lid and need a stronger strut then previous models because of the self closing cover for the top when it is down.
Installing these is very easy but you will need help in holding the trunk lid open. Simply insert a small screwdriver in the back of the retaining clip to release it. Snap off the old one, and follow the same procedure to install the new one. Chrysler recommends that both sides be replaced for safety.
These were priced at a fraction of what the dealer and my local auto parts stores wanted and arrived two weeks earlier, and the shipping was free.
