I have purchased Monroe before through Amazon and they work great. I anticipated the same this time but when I went to install, the strut would not fit. After researching with a local Dealership, I discovered that my car, 2000 Mazda Protege, had a mid year change in this application. The part search service on Amazon does not know this(which is determined by the VIN.) SO BEWARE. I did return to Amazon for a complete and full refund, including the postage. I do appreciate that, though it was still a hassle and I have yet to repair car. But make sure of the application BEFORE ordering.

they're slightly smaller in diameter than the OEM, but that might be a good thing. i discovered that my pass-side brake line was rubbing the rubber boot (which was probably the reason the compressor ran so much).

I specifically bought these for the 4th of July, however I'm sure I will use them much more often. The red is a very pretty, bright red. They feel very sturdy (haven't tested them long term yet) and are very comfortable. The cooler on one arm and pouch to hold other items is very handy also.
