I bought these and I wear a size 42. So I bought the XXL. They fits snug and aren't to bulky. if I bought XXXL I could probably wear them over pants, but I like these as they are. They are vented and keep my legs cool. They appear to be made very well and look like the will last. The knee armor is below my knees when I am standing but comes into place when I am on my bike so I like that as well. The hip armor is there and is hardly noticeable.
