The hardest part is finding the tab that has to be depressed with a very small (jewelers) screwdriver to remove the switch from the armrest.
Removing the electrical connectors is easy.
Then, the next hardest is separating the outer plastic shell from the main body. The plastic shell has to be pulled out over the nubs on each side at the same time - or hold it so they don't pop back in again.
The whole procedure took 5 minutes.

The switch was not working correctly to raise the driver's window. I had cleaned the contacts about a year earlier. The switch/rocker is plastic/nylon, and the problem is with the auto-down two-function switch. I was about to swap the single plastic switch from the rear window so we wouldn't have to have the window stuck in the down position. Now we don't have to worry about it - for the price of a tank of gas.

And, lo, the company that imports the switch is only 20 miles from me - in a house.
