Lately I have been upgrading my car with new headlights, fog lights, etc. These fog lights are awesome, but can be difficult for a normal non-mechanic savvy person like me (which is why they recommended professional installation).

The product comes with all the wires and switches to basically wire the entire line. My car (and I think most Mazda 3s) was pre-wired for fog lights. I was happy about that, so I put them in, plugged them in to the connections already placed at the bumper. However, the on/off switch did not come with the car, so my problem was figuring out how to install the switch for them since it was NOT already installed.

I looked at forums to help explain how to splice wires and connect, but there wasn't much of an answer to it, and splicing wires seemed like too much of a hassle and I was hesitant to do that anyway.

I did, however, find an easy, simple solution. The fog lights are wired all the way up to the blinker switch/lever, there just isn't a fog light switch on it. I found a great fog light switch from Rock Auto for $70. All I did was replace the original blinker switch, plugged this new one in, and voila! Yes, the switch is an extra cost, but saves so much time and works great!
