This Koch galvanized rope is 1/8-inch diameter and 500-foot in length as described on the top of the page. I verified this with Amazon prior to purchasing and they confirmed it directly with the manufacturer. It is described further down the page as 1/16" diameter--which it is NOT! This is an excellent purchase for 1/8-inch galvanized steel rope (aka wire cable). I purchased it to make my own 50-foot grounding cables for munitions containers. Using this in conjunction with 1/8-inch cable ferrules on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0049WREBS/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00), a crimping tool, cable cutters, and 50 Amp battery clips from [...] you can easily make 10 each 50-foot grounding cables with ferrules for a relatively inexpensive price compared to buying the same product off the shelf at a local or regional supplier. I would not go any smaller than 50 Amp clips as they tend to get quite small at the 30 Amp range and smaller. The 50 Amp size is what is normally standard on many of the consumer grounding reels with 50-foot and larger cable length reels. Koch makes a superior product. You cannot go wrong in making this purchase. You will pay more for a cable that is half the diameter and half the length. ENJOY!
