TYC 11-5949-01 Volkswagen Passat Passenger Side Replacement Tail Light Assembly Review

High quality build with OEM aesthetics, but two issues:
1) Light bulb harness mounts on to the back of unit with four clips.The harness has four clips with fit perfectly, but is also keyed.
~The keyed tab position did not match factory tab position~ but the plastic tab is flexible enough it simply bends out of the way, allowing all four clips to engage properly. Clip could also be manually removed, and does not appear impact functionality whatsoever (seal, and mounting do not appear to be impacted by the plastic tab).
2) The unit is a few millimeters deeper than the OEM, so it protrudes by the few millimeters, only noticeable on close inspection.
Wouldn't surprise me if the two are related, and the keying signifies a minor variance in the model year/depth, which the manufacturer didn't take into account or has listed incorrectly for the make/model compatibility. I could be totally wrong and it's VW/Audi's fault, but who knows. If the key and fit is correct for your make/model, then this is a 5-start product. Contacting TYC might resolve this issue for you, and I highly recommend the effort, as it's otherwise an excellent replacement part. I bought open-box from Amazon Warehouse so the price made it worth keeping, but I suspect the above reasons were why it was returned in the first place.

The only thing I wish this product had that it doesn't is holes cut out for the seat belts but I understand why it doesn't. The color is very vivd and they are comfortable to sit on.

MSR Base 2 Pot Set Review

The pots nestle well, the sole lid fits either pot snuggly (with a lip that is either sitting into or outside the large/small pot rim). The handle detaches to be attached to either pot. Unfortunately it's not the same universal pot grabber (spondonical) as most other pots so it can't be shared in a group -- but it does click the pot set closed in a cool way.
So far the non-stick is working great. I don't expect it to last spectacularly though. Already some careful packing of goods within the pots (admittedly with some exposed metal) has made small scratches. The non-stick never does last with the abuse pots get in the backcountry though, so fair enough.
Final take: Very light, good size, fit my needs as a somewhat (fairly?) weight conscious backcountry climber/skier etc.
