Motul 7100 Synthetic Ester Motor Oil - 10W40 - 4 Liter 836341 Review

I ride a Triumph Daytona 675 and after many hours of research on what oil to use for the oil change I settled on this. The Mobile 1 oil that was in my bike allowed a good deal of mechanical noise. Shifting was sometimes difficult and it was hard to find neutral. The bike was sometimes jerky throttling down or transitioning from close to open throttle.

I bought one of these and I was able to fill my bike and still have some left over for in-between fills. At first start-up I didn't notice much difference. There was still a bit of engine noise. A week later I took the bike out for the first ride since fill up and noticed improved shifting feel and drive-ability. The bike was not as jerky on downshifts (I always rev match too) and throttle up and down were good as well. Neutral was easy to find and I noticed decreased engine noise at idle.

This oil is pretty pricey but for a vehicle that sees 1-2 oil changes a year I can justify the purchase.
