I will give it four stars because it looks good, does what it is supposed to do and is easy to install. I also found it to be quite accurate and reliable when used with a modern 4 cycle fuel injected outboard. The only slightly awkward installation issue is the selection of which alternator pole setting to use for your particular engine. There is a chart provided but I found that to be out of date so I asked the outboard dealer for information which solved that problem. You could also just try different settings until you get one that gives approximately the right idle rpm.
