First let me say that the Snake Skin pads are not what I initially ordered; Originally I purchased and installed the C3 pads, but was quick to discover that my riding was too aggressive for that material. When the pads started to deteriorate I contacted TechSpec support, who were quick to recommend and send me a pair of the Snake Skin pads. The issues I had with the C3 pads are nonexistent with the Snake Skin material. They allow me to stay stuck to the tank like my knees are glued to the side, and they feel as tough as body armor. I took the newly installed snake skin pads out for a couple of long, spirited rides in the canyons last weekend and encountered 0 issues.

TechSpec makes very high quality products and are readily available to help if you have questions. My only complaint is that I found it hard to find verbose information about the materials. I would have liked to see recommended uses for each of the pads, because I was unaware of the limitations that the C3 pads had. If I had bought the Snake Skin pads first, I probably would have no complaints at all.

What I learned from all this:
- If you want quality tank pads for your bike, buy TechSpec pads. They're awesome.
- If you're a casual rider who doesn't grip the tank too aggressively, the C3 pads will work.
- If you're an "aggressive" or "sprited" rider, you will not be disappointed with the snake skin pads. Well worth the money.
