POR-15 Motorcycle Cycle Fuel Gas Tank Repair Kit POR 15 Review

First, let me start of by saying my finished product looked great, haven't started the bike yet, but the product did as advertised. I watched a video on youtube of some old guys using this product on a large, car/truck gas tank. They made it look very easy.

It was not this easy. From the heat of the initial wash immediately rendering the duct tape hilarious, to the tighter aspect of a motorcycle engine and the associated parts reducing flow, it was quite the toxic mess. The guys also did the treatment indoors on the video, I would not recommend this. I would recommend a whole box of gloves, an outdoor surface that can be easily cleaned, etc. Quite toxic, unless huffing chemicals is your thing.

All that aside, it did as advertised, I will update if there are any problems with the bike once I start using it. Remember, the rust removal doesn't have to be perfect, the final metal paint is suitable to pour over rust.

I would recommend over any other system that doesn't have a "metal paint" layer as the final, ie. a rust remover only. Especially for motorcycle engines, with their tight spaces.

Really easy to install, mine didn't come with alcohol pads or any instructions (which they are supposed to), but not a big deal I just got some alcohol pads and cleaned the window insert area and they fit perfectly in my pro4x frontier. They look great on the pickup. They are pretty tough and not so fragile, as I bent them quit a bit. If you did not get instructions like me keep the windows up and allow 24-72 hours so the rubber and channeling will mold around the piece so it will stay in place. I do have my windows tinted and so far they are not causing any scuff marks.
