Beck Arnley 201-1855 Ignition Lock Assembly Review

This was wired wrong!! When we installed it the car started having all kinds of problems it didn't have before. Finally after much troubleshooting we found out that the ignition was wired wrong. After fixing this issue the car works great, no more problems. I don't think this problem had anything to do with the seller, I think it was a manufacturing issue. So if you order this compare it to the one you are replacing to make sure the wires are in the right place.

Item as described. My old light flew off the car during long drive as it seemed loose and flimsy in my used car. Fixing this in took some time as the clips don't have a place to stick and there is only one screw. Not sure its the design fault by Lexus or the fender that's on the car is a replacement from different car. Few days later, this light seemed hanging in there flimsily. Refixing set it for another few days. Anyways, bought some clear silicone glue and reset the light in the car again. I am hoping this should attach the light permanently. As I am not sure what is the true reason of light becoming loose every other day, I am giving this product 5 stars in the assumption that previous owner may have replaced the bumper with a different model/car.

Metra GMRC-05 Factory Radio Interface Harness for GM Vehicles Review

I purchased and used this product as part of an aftermarket radio installation in a 2005 Chevy Equinox replacing the factory radio (non external amp/non onstar).

Below are all the parts purchased. I am a newbie and never had installed a din radio in a car before. I watched a couple youtube videos of another user performing a similar install on a 2006 model Equinox.

I used butt connectors for all my wire connections. Using the below parts was as easy as matching colors!! All the wire connections were a one-for-one match from the radio harness to the Metra Harness. Including the wire work, it took me about an hour to completely perform the install.

I am most pleased with the bluetooth functionality, as I can now listen to music from my iphone, and my son can stream netflix on the iphone and the sound is really good coming from the speakers. The only trick was running the bluetooth mic wire. I clipped it to the top of the driver side "A" post trim, and pulled out the foam door seal enough to run the wire into the dash below the steering wheel. By taking out 2 screws (one from shelf in dash under wheel and one from cover right above the trunk release) I was able to thread the mic wire to the radio installation area.

I tested the CD and AM/FM radio, and am very pleased with the improvement over the stock radio. Setting the time was a breeze, as I feel the controls were very easy to learn.

Olympia 4370 Cold Throttle All Season Gloves (Black/Hi-Viz, Large) Review

A few problems: There's a velcro strap on the back of the wrists that passes through a rectangular plastic loop and then sticks back onto itself. It very easily slips out of the loop. With gloves as heavy as these on, you can't get it back through the loop, so that means taking a glove off to fiddle with the strap. I have a pair of warm-weather Daineses where the equivalent strap is a stiffer leather, and widens out a good bit at the end. Much better arrangement.

The very soft and supple leather of the velcro strap on this glove also creates a problem on my left glove, on which the strap is about 1/8" narrower than on the right glove. The leather loop attaching the plastic rectangular loop to the glove is also narrower. This means the plastic rectangular loop can twist sideways in use, and it always does.

Next, the plastic lock on the elastic loop at the base of the gauntlet is huge, absolutely enormous. If you wear the gloves inside your jacket sleeves, it'll often dig into your arm. Of course, in that case you don't need it and you can just cut it off. Ideally, though, I'd rather not cut stuff off my gloves.

Protection: Armor is skimpy. Minimal knuckle protectors, that's all.

Waterproofing: I rode with these for three hours in the rain. The outer layers of the gloves were very wet, but my fingers were dry. I'd rather have a waterproof outer shell for more warmth, but they're definitely dry.

Warmth: These are my first pair of insulated riding gloves, so I'm not sure how to rate that. I have a fifteen minute city commute, mostly heavy traffic, about 1/4 mile on a highway. At 35 degrees F, this morning, with silk glove liners, my fingers were unpleasantly cold by the time I got to work. On a 45 minute ride last night in the mid-40s F, with the glove liners, again my fingers were unpleasantly cold by the time I got home.

With my Daineses, I couldn't have stayed out for 45 minutes last night. So there's that.

The thing is, insulation is insulation: It takes up space, no way around it. I wouldn't want to ride with gloves very much bulkier than these. So you get what you get.

Dorman 520-158 Control Arm Review

This is one of the only non replacements for this part. I would recommend this part for anyone with a Envoy/TrailBlazer that has a horrible creeking sound while braking. This can be other things, but on the 2002s the bushings in the part tend to make noise. On the newer models they updated this part with better bushings, so they may last as long as the vehicle (which is a very very long time on these great American made machines!) My 2002 drives like new again (this is not an overstatement!).

Please note you will for sure need an alignment after you replace these! I would recommend going straight to the alignment shop after these are replaced.
